Neon Museum Brochures

The Neon Museum located in Las Vegas, Nevada is a sight to see for tourists, artists, and photographers. This is not your typical museum but a non-profit organization that focuses on the collection preservation of historical neon signs from Las Vegas. Not only is a cool place to visit but it has educational and artistic opportunites.

The Brief

The brief for this project was to design a series of 3 brochures for a museum. I chose to work on the Neon Museum located in Las Vegas, Nevada. I found the concept of the Museum intriguing because of the idea of old neon signs and found the typography visually interesting. This project was particularly challenging because of the need to have the striking photos front and center but to have the information supporting it. Finding balance between photography and text was what I focused on.

Project Goals

Develop a concept for a three brochures for a museum

Create three different brochures that have unity and variation

The Process

I utilized the photos as background elements and take the bright colors present in them to overlay to play on the colorful concept of neon lights. This then allowed me to play with the text, so it was readable and legible and followed the system across each brochure.

Project Takeaway

This project was particularly challenging because of the need to have the striking photos front and center but to have the information supporting it. Finding balance between photography and text was what I focused on.
